When you distribute your music through P Tune Studio, your content is protected under our Digital Rights Management (DRM) system. We assign a digital fingerprint to your audio and video assets so we can track when and where they’re used across the internet.
This helps us identify several types of “copied content,” such as:
- When your track is used in the background of someone’s video
- When someone shares your music to help it reach new audiences
- When someone re-uploads or re-releases your track under a different name or artist
The first two situations are often positive exposure, helping your music spread organically. But when the usage is unauthorized or harmful to you as an artist, you have several options.
If the content is not beneficial or is being misused, here’s what you can do:
✅ 1. Request a Block or Removal
If someone has uploaded your track without permission — especially under a different artist name — you can request for the content to be taken down or blocked.
✅ 2. Track the Usage
If you’re not sure whether the reuse of your content is helpful or harmful, you can choose to monitor it instead. This gives you insights into how your music is being used online.
✅ 3. Claim Earnings and Royalties
If someone uses your music in a monetized video, you have the right to collect royalties from that usage. Our rights management system can help you claim those earnings.
With P Tune Studio, your content stays protected and you stay in control.
If you ever receive a claim or notice suspicious usage, just contact our team — we’ll guide you through the best next steps.
