Content That Will NOT Be Delivered to Apple Music & Spotify

P Tune Studio follows strict delivery rules to keep your catalog clean, original, and compliant with platform standards. We will not deliver:

• Any content that violates the Apple Music/iTunes Style Guide or the Spotify Style Guide
• Releases involving artists listed in our Hidden Artist List
• Tribute, Karaoke, or Sound-alike versions
• Tracks using fake, misleading, or keyword-stuffed artist names
• Generic artist names such as “Top Hits,” “Singer,” “Orchestra,” “Chorus,” etc.
• Generic or mass-produced holiday music
• Over-generic genre content, including:
  • Nature soundscapes
  • Treadmill/workout music
  • Fake chill playlists
  • Fake New-Age content
  • Relaxation/meditation/yoga soundbeds
  • Brain-power/boost audio
• Duplicate albums unless clearly labeled as a Deluxe version (must contain at least 50% new tracklist)
• Tracks submitted more than five times
• Low-quality or unapproved artwork (pixelated, scanned, blurry, off-center, etc.)
• Public domain artists or recordings created before 1963
• Low-budget content with no editorial or artistic value
• Podcasts or radio broadcast material
• Live recordings without prior approval from our team

Content That Will NOT Be Delivered to YouTube Audio Fingerprint

In addition to the restrictions above, the following types of content will not be delivered to YouTube Content ID / Audio Fingerprint:

• Mashups, remasters, or remixes of other people’s work
• Third-party licensed compilations, “Best Of” albums, unless exclusively owned
• Movie or video-game soundtracks
• Music licensed non-exclusively, including Rap/Hip-Hop beats or instrumentals
• Public domain catalogs or non-exclusive classical/traditional recordings

Content That Will NOT Be Delivered to Any Platform

• Misleading or deceptive releases
• Unauthorized or inaccurate cover art
• Any content displaying Nazi symbols or extremist imagery

Delivery Rules & Lead Time for New Releases

• Submit all releases at least 2 weeks before the release date
• Any release needing special setup must be submitted three weeks in advance
• P Tune Studio cannot guarantee proper setup for releases submitted outside the recommended timeline
• Guidelines may be updated anytime — reach out to Support if needed

Unauthorized Content for UGC Platforms

(Facebook, Lickd, Snap, TikTok & YouTube Content ID)

Not all music is suitable for UGC platforms. These platforms scan your audio and match it across millions of user-generated videos.
If your sound recording is not 100% original or not exclusively owned, uploading it can wrongly claim content that belongs to others.

This applies to:

• Facebook & Instagram (Meta Rights Manager)
• Lickd
• Snapchat
• TikTok
• YouTube Content ID

Important Notes

• These rules apply even if you choose “No TikTok Scanning” or similar monetization settings
• Facebook Audio Library also follows these restrictions
• Uploading unauthorized content to UGC DSPs will trigger a Warning and may lead to restriction of your access

Quick Check: Is Your Track Allowed for UGC DSPs?

Ask yourself:

“Does this track sound similar to another existing recording?”

If yes, then it’s not eligible for UGC DSP distribution.

You must also provide honest and complete information in:

• Track Origin
• Track Properties

If everything is correctly filled, you can use these fields to judge whether the track is UGC-safe.

Examples of Recordings NOT Eligible for UGC DSP Distribution

1. Recordings you do NOT exclusively own

Examples:

• Beats, loops, or samples licensed from 3rd parties (exclusive licenses are extremely rare)
• Public domain music
• Samples or loops from DAWs/sample packs
• Production/library music
• Video game audio
• AI-generated music from engines that do not disclose their training dataset
  • This includes platforms like Suno, Udio, Mubert, Mureka, etc.
  • If the dataset is undisclosed, exclusivity cannot be verified
