To make sure your music goes live on Spotify smoothly and on time, it’s important to follow the correct delivery specifications. When everything is submitted properly, Spotify can process your release faster — and your fans get to hear your music exactly when you planned.
Your Initial Delivery Must Be Final
Spotify expects your first delivery to contain the fully completed release.
This means:
- Final artwork
- Final audio
- Correct metadata
- No placeholders or drafts
Your initial upload should look exactly the way you want your release to appear once it’s live on Spotify.
In rare cases where a file is corrupted or has a technical issue, an update may be possible — but always aim to deliver the final version the first time.
Initial Delivery Timeline
To avoid any delays, your release must be delivered to P Tune Studio at least 5 business days before your planned live date.
This gives us enough time to:
- Review the release
- Approve it
- Deliver it to Spotify
- Ensure it’s processed before the release date
Updates & Changes
If you need to update any part of your release (artwork, metadata, audio), follow these timing guidelines:
✔ Update Deadline:
Updates should be submitted at least 2 business days before the expected live date.
✔ When Will Updates Go Live?
You can expect your updates to appear on Spotify within 48 hours after delivery.
Internal Review Time (P Tune Studio)
Please remember to allow time for our content team to screen and process your release.
We aim to review all submissions within 72 hours.
Submitting early ensures:
- No timeline pressure
- Fewer delays
- A smooth and stress-free release process
