How can we help?

Payee Revenue Share – Common Questions

At P Tune Studio, we make sure every artist, producer, and rights holder gets their fair share of royalties. To ensure seamless and timely royalty payments, it’s essential to correctly set up your Payee Revenue Share (Split) in your P Tune Studio Dashboard.

📝 What Information Is Needed To Create a Revenue Split?

To create a Payee Revenue Share, you’ll need the following details:

  • Payee Name(s)
  • Payee Email Address(es)
  • Payee’s Revenue Share Percentage (%) for the track

Make sure all information is correct before saving — this ensures each collaborator receives their rightful portion of royalties according to the agreement.

🔐 Who Can Create Payee Revenue Shares?

Only users with the “Administrator” role within your P Tune Studio Dashboard can create or manage Payee Revenue Shares for distributed releases.

✏️ What If a Split Needs to Be Amended?

Once a Payee Revenue Share is created and saved, it cannot be edited directly.
If you entered an incorrect share, artist name, or email:

  1. Please fill out the Royalty Split/Share Update Form, or
  2. If your case involves multiple changes or complex corrections, contact our Client Management Team via email or live chat for assistance.

This ensures accuracy in our royalty reporting and prevents payment delays.

📩 Who Receives Confirmation of a Revenue Share?

When a Payee Revenue Share is created:

  • The creator of the split receives confirmation; and
  • Each Payee listed in the split will also receive an email notification.

💰 Where Can I View Existing Revenue Splits?

After you create a Payee Revenue Share, you can view all details (payee names, emails, and share percentages) directly under the “Track Split” section when viewing your release.

Note: If your split was created internally by the P Tune Studio Team, it may not be visible temporarily — we’re actively updating our system to include full transparency for these cases.

🎵 Do I Need to Set Up Splits for Both Singles and Albums?

Yes. Revenue Shares are tied to each Release ID, not the ISRC.
That means if a track appears both as a Single and as part of an Album or EP, you’ll need to create the Payee Revenue Split for both releases individually.

💸 Reminder: Revenue Payments

According to your agreement, P Tune Studio pays royalties monthly, within 45 days after the end of each calendar month, once your balance exceeds USD $50.

Setting up accurate Payee Revenue Shares ensures everyone in your team gets paid correctly and on time.
