How can we help?

Audio Content Guidelines

Releasing music today is easier than ever, but getting accepted by digital platforms is a whole different game. One tiny mistake in your audio, artwork, or metadata can lead to delays, rejection, or reduced visibility.
At P Tune Studio, our goal is simple — make sure your music goes live everywhere smoothly and earns the revenue it deserves.

To help you avoid issues, we’ve organized every major rule used by global DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, etc.) in one place. Follow these guidelines and your release will pass through our editorial checks without friction.

1. Audio Rules

✔ What’s Required

  • Professionally mixed & mastered audio
  • No clipping, crackling, distortion, or background hiss
  • Clean WAV or high-quality MP3 (320 kbps)
  • Fully original composition and vocals

❌ Your Release Will Be Rejected If:

  • The track uses AI-generated voices mimicking real artists
  • Stolen loops, unlicensed samples, or copied beats
  • Low-quality audio taken from YouTube or live recordings
  • Silent tracks, ambient noise only, or incomplete mixes
  • Any audio quality issues (glitches, echoes, artifacts)

2. Cover Artwork Rules

DSPs are extremely strict about artwork. Even a tiny violation can block your release.

✔ Acceptable Artwork

  • Minimum 3000 × 3000 px
  • High-resolution, clean, and original design
  • Only: Track/Album Title, Artist Name, and Label Logo (optional)

❌ Not Allowed (Will Cause Rejection)

  • “New Release”, “Exclusive”, “Out Now” or any time-sensitive phrases
  • Social media handles, URLs, phone numbers, emails
  • Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or any DSP logo
  • ISRC, UPC, or barcode graphics
  • Blurry, pixelated, stretched, or scanned images
  • Watermarked or copyrighted artwork
  • Pornographic, violent, or harmful visuals
  • Artwork promoting other products

3. Metadata Consistency

Everything MUST match across the audio, artwork, and metadata.

✔ Must Match

  • Track Title = Artwork Title = Metadata Title
  • Artist name spelling remains identical
  • Version tags correctly applied (Remix, Live, Acoustic)
  • Correct language, genre, and copyright info

4.Artist Name Formatting & Spelling

Your artist name should be clean, consistent, and professional.

✔ Allowed

  • “Belal Khan”
  • “Mahtim Shakib”

❌ Not Allowed

  • Variations or typos
  • ALL CAPS or all lowercase
  • Emojis, hashtags, extra symbols
  • Brand names or misleading names

5.Artist Field Rules (Who Goes Where)

✔ Primary Artist

The main singer/performer of the song.

✔ Featuring (feat.)

Artists who appear in a small portion of the track.

✔ Lyricist

Person who wrote the lyrics.

✔ Composer

Person who created the melody.

✔ Producer

Music producer/beat maker.

❌ Not Allowed:

  • Using an artist name just to boost search
  • Putting the vocalist as composer when they did not compose
  • Adding unrelated artists to gain exposure

6. Artist ID (DSP Profiles)

To prevent your song from landing on the wrong profile:

✔ Requirements:

  • Correct Spotify Artist URI
  • Correct Apple Music Artist ID
  • Correct YouTube/YouTube Music Channel Link
  • No mix-ups with artists having similar names

8. Version Field Rules

✔ Correct Use

  • Tomar Ovabe (Acoustic)
  • Tomar Ovabe (Live)
  • Tomar Ovabe (Remix)

❌ Wrong Use

  • Tomar Ovabe (New Version)
  • Tomar Ovabe (HQ Version)

9. Version Info by Genre

EDM

  • (Remix), (Club Mix), (Extended Mix)
  • Unofficial remixes not allowed

Classical

  • Proper naming: Opus, movement, key
  • Example: Raag Bhairavi – Alaap

Folk

  • If traditional:
    “Traditional – Arranged by ___”

10. Singles, EPs & One-Track Products

Single

  • 1–3 tracks
  • One-track single = Title must match the main track

EP

  • 4–6 tracks under one theme or one artist

One-Track Product

  • Title, artwork, and metadata must match perfectly

11. Genre Accuracy

Choosing the wrong genre reduces your chances of editorial playlists and search visibility.

✔ Correct Examples

  • Folk → Folk
  • R&B → R&B
  • EDM → Electronic
  • Classical → Classical

❌ Incorrect Examples

  • A soft acoustic song tagged as Hip-Hop
  • A Folk track tagged as Western Classical

12. Genre Specificities

Bangla Folk

  • Authentic instruments: Dhol, Dotara, Flute, Khamak
  • No Western pop structure unless fusion is intended

Pop / R&B

  • Clean vocals
  • Modern arrangement

Hip-Hop

  • Explicit content must be marked with “E” tag
